Dr. Larry Linthacum is the superintendent of Jefferson City Public Schools. Dr. Linthacum has been in education for 26 years, 12 of those as a superintendent, and the last 5 in the Jefferson City Public school district. This brings his education career full circle in that he began as a Business teacher and Coach at Jefferson City High School. Dr. Linthacum received his BS from the University of Missouri Columbia where he was a four-year letterman on the football team. His Masters Degree and Specialist Degree in Superintendency are from Northwest Missouri State University. Dr. Linthacum received his Doctorate of Education from the University of Missouri Columbia in 2016. He has been married to his wife Angie for 21 years and they have 4 children: Micah, Sarah, Hannah, and Thomas.
